Xerox Phaser 3040 printer is not responding to printing commands + printer state "Filter failed"
Solution
1- Follow the steps in the following link to install ia32-libs on Ubuntu 13.10
http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/ia32-libs-in-ubuntu-13-10
2- Download and install the 32bit driver from Xerox website
http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-3040/downloads/enin.html?operatingSystem=linux&fileLanguage=en_GB
3- Delete old printer and add a new one
